I find the media often gets fascinated with some pretty weird shit at times, weither its the next missing garden gnomes, or some star taking a dump… the media is there normally to smell it. Lately with the media getting involved with console gaming, they have been attacking it as the next WMD, to the Media it is something that beats your wife , kills your pets and makes your children into cannibals. When the media is bored i find thats when there at there most dangerous to themselves and others around them. So just doing my normal thing of looking at Fark.com , an article caught my eye and I clicked. the Title of it was “Growing a wii bit bored” from the Calgary Herald. but the dumbfuckery of this one gets to me. its a long write by me but I’ll take a stab at his stab.

It starts
In an interview with gaming publication IGN.com, the president of Epic Games, which produces the incredible Gears of War for the Xbox 360, dumped on Nintendo’s Wii, dismissing the system that has sold 20 million units as a fad that will soon wane, and saying his company won’t ever be releasing games on it.
“The first time I played a videogame with my parents was on Atari 2600,” says Mike Capps. “The next time I played a videogame with my parents . . . was Wii Tennis. theres so many things wrong with this I don’t even know where to begin. To Immediately just start dumping on something means your pissed off for one reason or another rather than taking a neutral bias to what your writing about. Also bringing the Asshat from epic in on the first line from and interview just starts this article all wrong.. I’m allowed to have bias here… gears of war? I couldn’t care any less for the game. I mean just how many times can you rehash unreal tournament. The comment alone is shortsighted, The reason people get the Wii is it is FUN…
As far the wii being a virus, i think not , Nintendo has realized that power is not everything. Generally i have one rule with gaming, the more eyecandy generally the shittier the game is for fun and replayability. I Do not play a game for eye-candy , I learned that lesson once too many that general focus on graphics tend to kill games, Or make the game so short its not worth it. Balancing graphics and gameplay is the key, people still play D&D… now theres some heavy fricken graphics for ya .. And you know what? As a hardcore gamer, I somewhat agree. I turn on my Wii to review titles — Wii Sports, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl — and never otherwise.
Meanwhile, my PlayStation 3 is on every single day, and my Xbox 360 is on every other day.
Despite the clamour for understocked Wii’s — there’s still thousands of consumers looking to buy one at $269 — there are probably just as many collecting dust in living rooms across North America.
I asked a few friends with Wiis and they’re in the same boat.
Wooo.. 2 games…. REAL HARDCORE THERE! How can you say something about a system when you have played exactly 2 release titles? And whats with the meanwhile.. is his systems in the justice league Head Quarters? If you have 2 games for the system Just maybe thats the reason its not being turned on… Or your just a little follow the crowd wuss and play halo 3(see Unreal tournament rehash). Also the fact of owning 3 consoles and Likely a PC it shows that this guy has the attention span of a dead gnat.
Now the beauty of the article strikes right at the very next sentence.

Now theres a blatant stupidity about this one and use of the big number factor… Using big numbers to make something really big thats not. one and half months from February .. Now this is fucked math .. Using basics … month and a half.. March into april possibly …. Super smash brothers brawl was release on March 9th, Assuming that means he either didn’t buy it was some really messed up math to get these 4 weeks of “Not touching the Wii”. Okay.. so that means smash brothers played out in 2 weeks for this person. the general window put out here more likely says he probably has not played the console in 2 weeks and didn’t remember because the writer was on a swearing tirade in pong or something.
Reza, a diehard Xbox 360 fan, says he bought the console as a party toy, as something to fire up when guests came over because “the 360 is much more complex and tougher to pick up in one night.”
Yeah its so much more complicated… Does Red Ring of Death mean your 1337? 33% fail rates on the console… GO GO DIEHARD. More Like DieLOTS Fan.. So in the end.. bash the hell outta the Wii than say its happening with the other consoles.. at this point my collective mind is saying this guy a just a dipshit, and the fact of me writing this is worthless because , its one of those Ire inspiring articles just to get people to say “OH MY GOD PEOPLE ARE GETTING BORED OF THE WII”. I called this right out when i noticed how biased this article was.

That’s because third-party companies such as Epic Games don’t want to make titles for the Wii because the specs of the 360 and PS3 allows them to push the technological envelope, to stand above the hundreds of titles released annually. The third-party companies that do make Wii titles often make better versions on the other consoles.
People dont look past there nose Much.. the unreal engine has been used with gamecube and has been licensed for the Wii. Not only that If your still reading this… Unreal engine 3 is being ported to the wii… which has pretty much defeated EVERY point of this article from Dippy do dah who wrote this vomitious piece of so called journalism.
